Scorchers Casual Eatery & Drft, Akron, Ohio Restaurant Details

Food:

Been coming here for over a year. The place has a very laid back environment, multiple TV's with multiple stations playing, and (my favorite) even when the jukebox is playing, you can still hear yourself and your party talk to each other.

I know the staff on a first name basis at this point, as them me, and just about every person on the staff is likeable. Oh, and not only are the food choices awesome and found nowhere else, it is always cooked well and with large portions.

I don't work for this place, just a guy from Timber Top that loves coming here with friends and not having to deal with loud, rowdy bars.

Food:

A great place to enjoy a plethora of seasonal craft beers and eat the best wings in NE Ohio! Also, there are enough TVs to enjoy whatever sporting event you want to watch. A little rough on the outside, but don't be deterred and miss out on the experience that is waiting for you at this great Valley Bar!

I found the people rude...friends of the owner there playing pool...dropping "f" bomb every other word from their mouth & the owner just laughing with them. I find that unacceptable in a restaurant & since they were friends of the owner I feel he should have told these people 2 watch the rude language. They also were slow & gave an impression we were in the way.....however the good is awesome

Largest selection of draft beer in the valley. Head Hunter on tap and Southern Tier Pumking on tap among others. Wouldn't be able to tell from the outside.

Scorchers has some pretty good deals and decent food but when it comes to the service they are absolutely horrible. This wasnt just a one time thing either. The rude waiter who claims to had worked there for 3 years doesn't know anything about the food or drinks. They rarely come to check on you, greet you, and are just downright horrific. Even if I wanted to catch a buzz I couldn't because I sit with an empty drink for over 20 minutes each time, trying to save someone down or get their attention. Then I end up going up to the bar myself and still get ignored and it is not busy at all. The place has potential but the service ruins the whole experience and I won't give this plae another chance and I suggest you steer clear until they hire new decent servers. It doesn't take much to please me but begging for service shouldn't be part of any dinning experience!
