03/06/2015 9:37 pmI recently visited this place for dinner to check it out and my experience with it was pretty bad. first of all the place is always overcrowded and noisy. I literally had to be shouting at the person next to me in order to engage in conversation. I had no place to sit, had barely a square foot of space to stand to eat my food. The prices of this place are also outrageous. I spent about 50% more than i would normally spend at a fast food place. The service is also not that good. I was given a buzzer that would go off when my food was ready, but it did not work, so I spent 15 minutes waiting for my food just to realize it was ready. One positive thing i would say is that the burger and fries were really good. The portions i got did not justify the price i paid, but I enjoyed the burger. With a place like "shake shack" you would assume their shakes are one of the best, sadly this is not the case. I ordered my shake and it literally tasted like corn flakes that have been soaking in milk and sugar. It was very nasty.. There are much better food options in this area and I regret ever giving this place a try. |

01/08/2015 3:22 pmSituated in Brooklyn across from the Barclay's Center. Great for before or after event eats. It's a large ample space and they provide beer as well. Go for the smoke shack burger which had great juicy flavor in the meat and accompanied with italian red peppers, bacon, shack sauce and lettuce and tomato. Simply fills the stomach with excitement. Fries were crispy and crinkly which were a highlight. Had the shakemeister dog as well. A nice beefy hot dog with cheez wiz and fried shallots. I've had better hot dogs but it was really about the flavorful toppings. A highlight of this location is they offer their concrete custards with the local seasonal flavor four and twenty blackbird pies mixed in. |

06/08/2015 7:00 pm"Prodigiously expanding", Danny Meyer's elevated-fast-food chain "may be in every city" soon thanks to its "juicy, flavorful burgers", "thick shakes" and other "fairly priced", "made-to-order" delights; it draws Disney ride"–worthy lines at some locations, notably the "charming" Madison Square Park original (currently closed for renovations). |
