If you're looking for a place to spend anywhere from $15 to $25 for an entrée with the texture you would expect from a prepackaged dinner in the single serving frozen food aisle of Walmart, then look no further.

As if the fact that the restaurant's chef is in need of some culinary classes wasn't enough, in my forty--five minutes spent in this place, I witnessed the woman who appeared to be the floor manager interact with two different sets of guests in a very hostile manner.

Overall, the Ships Cabin was the worst dining experience I have had since living in the Norfolk area.

Just tear it down and start over! A sad night out for a once regal dining experience. I use to go here as far back as the 80's, but after the original owner sold out, it has been hit or miss. Decided on an unfortunate whim to stop in for a light late night meal. Oops. Ordered a Greek salad with a side of grilled shrimp, and I indulged in a buffalo chicken salad with some fries. We were one of only three tables being served in the whole restaurant, but it still took 45 minutes from the time we walked in to get our "meal" (this was after complaining about how long it took) She said her Greek salad was O.K., but my Buffalo chicken was terrible, the fries sucked like they were scrapped off a floor, and the waitress Brittany, needs to take up another vocation.
Do not believe any positive reviews, they are lies! Go to Razzo's, Surf Rider, Lagoon, or even Cutty Sark for much better food. This place needs to be leveled and use the land for something useful. I truly fear for what my stomach will be feeling like tomorrow.
I am not kidding, do not give these guys a cent of your money, you will regret it!

Our experience was hands down horrible. Our party contained about 30 professionals, clergy, and elderly; all of which were black. We were given two waitresses whose appearance lacked cleanliness. We were placed in an extremely cold banquet room which smelled. When we complained of the lack of heat and service; the restaurant called the police and we were told to leave. Our civil rights as human beings were violated on the basis of our color. This establishment lacks quality and integrity for all people. We were given sub par service and food; for those of us they did serve.
Please save your money and eat where you will be valued and respected as a customer.

Everything was horrible. I came for a party and they sat us in a cold area waiting and waiting for food that probably was never gonna come. They claim they turned the heat on but it was still cold. We tried to reason with them but they wanted to resort to calling the authority. So we left.

Wow, Extraordinary food and service. I was recommended hear a few times and now I finally made it it in and I am glad we did. You can tell fresh seafood when you taste it. The Beach in back added to my experiance. I made reservations next week where I am planning on asking my girlfriend to marry me.
