09/27/2015 4:19 pmThis place was AWFUL today (September 27th, 2015) . None of the staff would acknowledge us when we came in this morning at 10:00ish a.m. and stood there and waited to be seated. Another couple came in and was immediately acknowledged and seated. When we were finally seated (after approaching one of the wait staff after standing patiently at the hostess stand) we were literally IGNORED for 13 minutes before we gave up and left. We were never given menus and only given 2 sets of silverware. Drinks were filled, menus given with silverware while people were seated, and tickets given to ALL of our neighboring tables while our table was glanced at and each waitress turned the other way and ignored our table of 5, clean well-dressed men and one woman. Nobody even introduced themselves so I can't even name any of them. We've been here many times before and had excellent food and service, even joking with us and being very friendly. That waitress was not present today. I was embarrassed because we had friends in from Alabama, we were hungry and this Shoney's has been good in the past. Very, very rude, inconsiderate and negligent. (There were 4-5 tables empty and not cleaned). No one seemed to know what they were doing. I am so sad. |

09/27/2015 3:16 pmHorrible. We were sat at a dirty table. Waited 10 minutes and was never asked what we wanted to drink. Servers walked by us several times. I don't know how the food tasted we finally left after we realized they weren't going to come to our table. We will never come back |

08/16/2014 2:05 amPoor business practices!!! I'm from out of town, and never have eaten at one of these buffets. The food was fair for what was offered, and from what I observed, the environment was clean. No complaints on pricing, and our waiter was polite and respectful. However, they currently have a special running that allows kids to eat for free. Anyways, they charged us for their drinks and food. Now, while a few dollars lost may not be a huge deal to folks without any additional mouths to feed. But it is for us. We paid cash, and corrected them directly afterwards. To which they replied that it couldn't be remedied because their system simply didn't allow that. When I spoke with the manager on it, she was hostile and impatient with the mere idea that I might even fathom to want my money back. She then tried playing the guilt trip game explaining to me that if I get my menial dollar amount it'll make the cashier's drawer too short and the poor girl will get into lots of trouble. She finally had the cashier provide the difference in what we paid for our bill. But promptly and rather verbally expressed her future 'ration of shit' (as I put it) to the poor girl publicly in front of all the other customers. So I ask, what business manager on site does not carry the authority to refund and correct a cashier's drawer? Either way, it was the establishment's fault as I see it. And it's not like we were an intolerable table. We were a fairly calm and quiet family group who also provided a tip. At the end of it all, in the way of food, you get your money's worth. But beware and check your ticket before you pay. Make sure they don't over charge. I personally believe it's an intentional scam. Anyone with eyes can see that the various children we had in attendance were under the alloted age group. They had a HUGE 6 X 2 foot sign the moment you walk into the door advertising that as a back to school special kids get to eat free. So the reasoning is beyond me why our ticket would intentionally show a child's seat fully charge. |
