Literally sat waiting to be acknowledged for at least 20 minutes. The line to pay was 25 people long and no one said a word to us the entire time we were there. Other customers had left in front of us because they too had been waiting for so long.... The server or busser was sweeping the floor and looked to be the only one on the floor besides the cashier. There were plenty of tables we could of sat at but nothing was cleaned off. We ended up leaving as well. Kind of glad we didn't eat there because if just getting a seat was so difficult I'm sure cooking proved a challenge.

I will NEVER GO BACK to this location ever again. I went in about 45 minutes before they were closing the buffet. To start, it took several minutes for someone to greet me at the hostess stand. Once sat down, they rushed me to try to get an order in the back and a beverage. I asked for a little bit of time because I was not feeling well but instead they insisted that I hurried up and got my order in.

So, I decided to go to the buffet. It was the most disgusting thing I have ever had at a Shoneys. The turkey and gravy was cold and inedible and the mashed potatoes tasted like they had some soap or chemical in them. I politely asked if I could get some fresh mashed potatoes and they refused because they didn't want to 'increase their food cost' and what was out there was what they had on the buffet Everything looked like it sat for at least 30 minutes or more.

The decor of the restaurant looks very worn down; the service is abysmal, and the management is 10 times worse. I provided my complaints to them and they shrugged them off like they didn't care. They even almost went so far to tip my waitress. I did not in this case because I tip for good service.

I will be honest and state I have to been to other Shoneys in town and the one off of Thomson Lane is the best one there is. The one in Knoxville by Walked Springs Rd. is the best one in their company hands down. I was hoping for a good meal but in the end and to close this out, I GOT FOOD POISONING and am now sick on Christmas Eve still.

Shut the place down and put something more useful there - like a condo tower or something. This restaurant does not deserve the Shoney's brand name period.

going to give them one more chance tonight .. went a few months ago and got the food bar, no lettuce, server brought a head of lettuce out and chopped it at the bar. no eggs on salad bar was told they did not have any eggs, there was pickle relish, not sure what for. Daughter got a club sandwich on what appeared to be Texas toast and just cut in half, I could go on but will add more tonight when I get back from their last chance. Oh I did call the manger/ owner and did not seem interested, he said that the price of eggs had jumped and the were hard to find. I told him Wal-Mart and Kroger had tons of them
