Went from a 5 to a 1 bcuz breakfast wasn't the same as before. Different cook? Maybe.. but I sure didn't enjoy my meal. Diced potatoes were under cook, all bacon was burnt. Eggs were under cooked. must I go on? I got home and vomit

The taste hasn't changed since I was a kid. Way better flavor than Golden Corral!!!

The all but empty parking lot should have been a clue. We usually love going to Shoneys but this was our first (& last) time here. At 1:30 PM on Monday the hot bar was about 1/2 left over breakfast items including egg toppings, but no eggs.

A bunch of breakfast stuff (note the time) including egg toppings but no eggs. About 1/2 of the hot bar was left over breakfast items. Chicken some fish & awful looking meatloaf was the only meat. Almost no choice of veggies either.

So, with disappointment, we ordered entrees from the menu. My menu said "All Entrées include your choice of one side and our Fresh Salad, Soup & Fruit Bar" but they refused to honor that and served a side salad that was almost all iceberg lettuce with a little cucumbers & cherry tomatoes. They pointed out that the place where my menu offered the salad/soup/fruit bar, was covered over with a sticker on my wife's menu. The sticker said that you could get a side salad (of their choice). Shoney's web site promises that you get the salad bar with an entree. Not so here!

We ordered shrimp (wife) and liver & onions (me). We both had a side salad and string beans. We thought the shrimp and liver were good, but the beans were barely edible (me) or inedible (wife). The shrimp meal was served without coleslaw or cocktail sauce which both menus said came with it. Our waitress very reluctantly agreed to bring coleslaw but never did.

Not as good as they used to be. First choice for a meal I was told I couldn't get because it was frozen. Salad bar was closing in 5 minutes. Meal my mother ordered was hard. My second choice for food wasn't cooked well. Waste of $20!
