I was there a couple of month ago and I placed my order and paid for it and I had to wait for more than 30 minutes and when I ask the counter what happened they told me that they forgot my order. How about forgetting to collecting my money. Lousy service, will not ever return to this place. Counter staff not very friendly, behavior just like they are in India.

This is a no frills place with good food made quickly. The Pav Bhaji dosa is really tasty as well as my simple favorite - idli sambhar.

Food:

Cozy South Indian place in the Mahatma Gandhi center. It is consistently close to homemade food as possible. Staff could use improvement however I would rather have the cheap prices. Smoke detectors keep chirping constantly so be aware if that kind of thing annoys you. The steel glasses are washed but never dried so use the paper cups. Despite these minor flaws I would definitely recommend going there.

The best south Indian food by far in Houston. Order a dosa and a masala chai and you're all set.

My favorite Indian chaat house in Houston! Order at the counter and choose a table. They'll call your number to pick up your dishes at the counter as soon as they are ready. Go with a few friends and share!
