We selected the Hilton in part due to it's reputation as there are other restaurants near Orchestra Hall, our final destination for the evening.
Servers and staff were friendly and truly meant well. However, dinner was not up to what the Hilton name would have one believe.
We did not have reservations based on the recommendation of one of the staff members when we called to make reservations. The Host expected us to have reservations when we arrived at the restaurant.
Then came the comedy of errors and timing in service and food:
Our server featured the free bottle of wine promotion if certain entrees were ordered, which is fine, even expected.
He forgot to bring me my pop.
The "starter" of soup my husband ordered came after his entree did. It came along with 2 of the other entrees ordered.
Then finally the last entree arrived. It was seared salmon with honey ginger glaze. It was neither seared (appeared poached) and had not even any flavor of the absent glaze.
Then, as we finished dinner, a host asked if we'd like some wine. One of us accepted. When he brought the wine (in the bottle) he stated that we had qualified for the free bottle of wine from the promotion. It would have been nice to enjoy it during the meal.
The finishing touch was when some of us went into the Ladies' room. The handicapped stall had something quite unappealing on the floor. It had been there awhile based on appearance. It left us wondering how often are the bathrooms checked for cleanliness?
All of these things are fixable with some attentive management and some skills development.

The skywater restaurant is nothing special and the salmon was over cooked. The service was slow. It took 15 minutes just to get our glasses of water.
