We stopped at O'Lydias during our anniversary night and really enjoyed the relaxed and comfortable seating area. We stopped in for just a few drinks and we were happy we did. The atmosphere was friendly and the service was very customer oriented. The staff was kind and added to the awesomeness of our celebration.

Really laid back first time thing for me going in to this place. I don't go out much to bar's for breakfast, the timing and moment of momentum went fairly fantastic.

A poor experience. Made a reservation for three earlier in the day for 7 PM on a Friday night for the fish fry. Sadly, as Seinfeld indicated, anyone can take a reservation but can they hold the reservation? In this case the answer was NO. Upon our arrival they didn't have a table and we ended up waiting 45 minutes without even room at the bar for us.

Then, our waitress unfortunately took ten minutes to tend to us after we were seated. This inattentiveness continued through the night. She rushed us to order even though we mentioned we needed more time and then she cut me off and tried to run off as I stated we would like to order an appetizer though. It took 15 minutes to get the appetizer or even see her again to get another drink.

Next, she didn't take my order correctly and I received fried cod and not the broiled that I had requested. Although the food I received initially was wrong and I did not eat any of it, the baked potato was pathetic, dried out and nasty looking. She put in my order a second time that took another 15 minutes to receive while the other two in my party continued with their meal -- not that I blame them; their food ought not get cold waiting on me. Then upon receiving my food the second time, it was only the broiled fish. Where was the meal? Really, you expected me to eat a nasty, now cold baked potato etc.?! Ultimately, she brought me a new fresh and hot baked potato but not a complete meal. I had to piece together a meal from the original cold plate of food and the new plates of fish and potato.

We went to this bar on a recommendation that the fish fry was good. It was eh, okay. In the end, this place is just a bar and not what I consider a good one with typical bar food, and sadly, below average service. It may be a good place to get a beer at the bar itself if you're a local to the area but it was not worth the 20 minute drive across town for the food and service provided.

We tried this place tonight and were disappointed. We waited forever for our food and it wasn't worth it. The corned beef was no more than store bought and slapped on the grill to heat it. Certainly not what I expected c from an Irish pub! My SIL said the burger and fries were average at best. The bright spot was my daughter's Caesar salad, which she said was very good.
In all fairness, we were told (by the owner..he didn't actually introduce himself) the the cook called off work that night at the last minute. Hopefully that explains the long delay and the disappointing quality of the meal.
I guess I'd give it another try....Maybe.
