07/26/2015 12:51 pmI have always loved Smith and Wollensky and have visited the chain in many cities. This place however is in trouble. It starts with the Maitre D. who calls everyone, man and woman "darling" and provides aggressive and overly familiar commentary on the way to the table. It took over 30 minutes to get a glass of wine. Two bottles offered on the wine list, one on the recommended page, turned out not to be unavailable. Waiters came and went but the service was flat out lousy. The steak, when it finally arrived was mediocre and overcooked and mediocre and after the meal two of our party felt physically ill. The best thing about the place is the bread, which is delicious. Would avoid this place like the plague. I doubt it will be around much longer. |

06/30/2015 10:15 pmLove this place! Their ribeye dry aged steak is out of this world good. We also liked the Mac and cheese. The service was always outstanding when we've gone there for dinner. They brought my husband a huge piece of cake for his birthday which was enough for all eight of us. |

08/27/2014 3:43 amDespite the reputation for a high-priced power lunch and expense account dinner restaurant, Smith and Wollensky can be enjoyed for a fraction of the normal price if you go during happy hour. A mountain for proscuitto with huge chunks of freshly shaved parmesan and an ample serving of arugula for only $8. The calamari was fair at best and should be avoided. Half off wines and beers, with hearty sliders that come 3 (surprisingly large portions) to a plate for $7. You won't get the filet for which this place is famous but you can enjoy the refined ambiance and attentive service for a fraction of the normal price. |

07/06/2014 1:54 pmMy party of four visited this location on a early Saturday evening. The decor is very comfortable, old-style steakhouse. Nothing fancy. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the types of meat and how they were prepared. Each of us had different meals and all were outstanding! Somehow, we even managed to save room for deserts. Again, all of us were very impressed. If you are looking for a great dining experience from beginning to end, this is your place! We will be returning soon. |

11/22/2015 1:00 pmThe superior chops stand up to any NYC steakhouse at this Golden Triangle link of a national chain, where the food is good, but the prices high for the exceptional filets and fine seafood; professional servers oversee the country club–esque digs, assuring a classic night out. |
