05/01/2015 3:18 pmExpect a "vintage" vibe – starting with a "cool" delicatessen entrance – at this somewhat "pricey" Lower Eastsider; "service suffers" at times and the "happening bar scene" threatens to overshadow the "decadent" New American fare, but most are having too much "fun" to notice. |

04/18/2015 9:25 pmGreat drink menu. Like chilling in a southern antique store. Good mood lighting for knocking back a few whiskeys and having a solid meal. |

04/18/2015 6:01 pmThis place is an absolute trap for clueless tourists who don't know better. Inflated prices, rubbery food, watered down drinks, and terrible cheesy DJs. A dozen better options all within a block walk. |

12/01/2014 5:25 pmGreat food, great drinks, fun crowd. This place reminds me of an old-fashioned Southern comfort-type place. Wooden treatments and a long bar set a good tone to start. Their drinks are well chosen and made even better. The food is solid across the board- anything you get will be good. Their brunch tends to be a total party: larger crowds, hip-hop music, lots of food and drinks flowing. Fun. Recommended for when you want to have a good time. |

07/06/2014 11:00 amSons of Essex is one of my favorite brunch spots; it had a really chill vibe, the atmosphere was dimly lit, the DJ time traveled with the hits, the mosh pit in the restaurant was entertaining with people dancing and overall brunch was amazing. I went with a group of friends and we all agreed the service was great and we enjoyed all of our courses. I had the SOE pizza as my main course it was delish bacon, scrambled eggs, cheese and other goodness. |
