Southern Fires, Detroit, Michigan Restaurant Details

Food:

Unprofessional... called them Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock and the phone just rung and rung... No answer, no answering machine no anything... called 7 times in 20 minutes.. they close 8 o'clock on Sunday... very unprofessional...

I've eaten here before and the food is actually good but on several occasions I've been giving the wrong sides... whenever I order dressing and greens I get macaroni and cheese and potato salad as if they figure that's what everybody wants...

Food:

The service here is very poor. They didnt provide me with my full order and after that didnt ask if I wanted my change. Even worst when I asked to speak to a manager it was the lady that messed up my order. They didnt even bother to accommodate me for driving 20 minutes back to get my food. I will not be going back there.

Salaams, I Attended Southern Fires Restaurant For My Wife's Grandmother's 95th Birthday Celebration. The Service Was Very Poor. I Couldn't Eat Any Meat, Because All The Meat Is Cooked On The Same Grill. I'm Muslim So Pork Chicken Beef Cooked On The Same Grill, Is Cross-Contamination To Me. I'm A Plumbing Contractor. The Bathrooms Need To Rehabbed Updated. And They Are Plain Nasty!!! I Just Held It Until We Exited Stage-Right. I Call A Black-Onwnd Business Like That NiggaShit# I Shall Nevaa Evaa Visit Southern Fires Again. Nor Recommend It To Friends, Nor Family. Nor My Worst Enemy. Even The Menus Were Greasy!

OHHH NOOOO!!!!! I have been dining at Southern fires at least once a week for the past year til recently. As usual, the food was very good as well as the atmosphere. However, all that changed when I was eating my lunch and noticed out of the corner of my eye a bug crawling down the wall near where I was eating....Not Just Any Bug!!! a brown ROACH!!!! with an egg attached to it!!!!, I immediately became sick to my stomach....Never Again!!! they have surely lost a faithful customer

I came in for an early dinner with an out of town guest. As we walked in there were people begging for money. We go in and the hostess (if that's what you want to call her) did NOT greet us. I told her that there were two people in our party. She grabbed menus and started walking to the table, no, "ok follow me", "right this way" NOTHING! As I sat down I noticed that there were napkins and food all over the floor.I saw the staff seat people and not even pick the large napkins up off the floor nor sweep (mind you the napkins were cloth and would be reused). The bathroom was FILTHY!! It had no toilet paper, no paper towels, the counters were nasty and the toilet seat had urine on them. My food was warm, the pork chop was rubbery and not seasoned the way SOUL FOOD should be. The whole experience was bad. Well let me take that back. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Wish I had her name. I would not take a stray dog to eat here. They need to post a sign out front saying, WARNING, ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK...
