Go here for the music and atmosphere, not the food. Trashed half of the brisket we purchased. Potatoes in salad were crunchy raw. Pickles were great! They asked if I liked the food. The told me I ordered wrong. Over priced to boot.

I have been looking for a good BBQ joint since moving here from Houston in 05 and have finally found it! Brisket was tender and not fatty. Sausages were really good. Sides are awesome and they even make their own pickles. Heaven!

Very good food. Place has been around since 1890, German POWs from camp Bullis used to be taken there for a meal and bowling during ww2 the owner says.

I liked the old setup but I like the new Spechts even more. BBQ and music. Low and slow brisket that is tender and succulent. Home made sausage, potato salad, slaw, vegetables from the garden, pickles, pie....many other smoked meats available. Good stuff! I kinda like the music too :)

Not Worth the drive or the Money.
Food was OK.
First let me point out that this was a Sunday at 2pm. We were the only people there.
Service was EXTREMELY slow, which was not a huge deal because we were not in a hurry, but the waiter got just about Everything wrong. Wrong drinks, Wrong food, we had to ask 3 times just for water.
They tried to serve my wife sangria in a cracked glass twice.
Then after a few hours (we were there for a B-Day party) we saw him pore
the second sangria we sent back from the cracked glass into a new glass.
First off it had been sitting on the bar for at least two hours in full view of us
Second there was probably GLASS in it!!!

I will NEVER go back there again.
My guess All these Glowing reviews are from there employees.
So If you like spending 3.50 for warm domestic beer, waiting in a non AC barn for 2 hours for your food and possibly getting glass shards in your throat, be sure to try Specht's!
