This place was awesome! It was my second night in JAX and i didn't know what to eat, but i was craving Caribbean food bad! I was skeptical to order the ox tails because some people aren't to generous with the meat, but the defiantly exceeded my expectation by quality of the food and the price (reg $10.00, jumbo $13.00). I'm definitely going back tomorrow for the curry goat!!! Glad i found a Caribbean spot in JAX! now for a nail salon lol

If you're white it ain't alright here. RACIST ESTABLISHMENT! If you want "Jerk" you can find it here for sure. I had been here years ago,when I lived in Arlington previously in 2006 & the food wasn't bad, but I went back w/my gf this past year 2013 & there was a line waiting on the take out side to get food. I waited on the eat-in side to be seated as my gf went to use the restroom. No one greeted me for a few mins so I was looking at the art & decor on the wall. I took out my phone to take a picture of a cool mask on the wall & as I did I heard a tapping behind me. It was an employee and/or owner tapping on a glass partition between the 2 areas & she was freakin' out! She was saying: "Did I say you can take my picture?!" She was very rude about it. I sorta laughed to lighten the mood & said, "Well I'm not taking your picture, I'm photographing the cool mask & decor on your wall while I wait to be seated, I'd gladly take "your" picture, you're much more beautiful,haha" trying to make her laugh & relax a little. Well she just kept insisting I not take "her picture" as she claimed,as my gf came out of the restroom, she accused me of trying to take her picture again to her. I explained the situation to my gf & suggested she stand by her so I could "take her picture" All this was trying to be funny to lighten her mood,none of which helped. She was a psycho. So after that, we both sat ourselves down at a table & continued to wait & wait & wait, after another 10 mins of waiting w/no greeting or anything as she served everyone else. I told my gf, let's go! I am not racist & rarely pull the "race card" out,but I'm sorry, if you're skin is not brown, then get out of town w/this place, they won't serve you or even respect you at all. Caucasians are the minority in this establishment & they treat you like dirt. I'll never return again.

The food here is excellent! The best Caribbean food you can get in north Florida! HOWEVER DO NOT BRING YOUR FAMILY OR ANYONE YOU CARE ABOUT TO THIS RESTAURANT! It is UNSAFE and in a bad location. I wish I could give this restaurant five stars but the atmosphere and service of the restaurant does not deserve it. I hope the restaurant will improve because I really do miss those oxtails lol
