Square One, Jacksonville, Florida Restaurant Details

Food:

My family is long-time residents of San Marco and I have been going to Square One for many years (well before they had Factory night on Saturdays). Went there last night and because my friends and I didn't "fit" in we were treated like garbage by the management and employees. The DJ didn't want us around so he not only punched one of my friends, but he pushed another friend down the stairs as we were leaving. We left because everyone made it very clear we were not welcome and didn't stop giving us problems until we just decided to leave. Not to mention the manager and DJ were screaming profanity at our group as we left. A place of business should not get away with treating customers as poorly as we were, especially because we don't dress or look like other people there. This place is a disgrace to San Marco and I will NEVER go there again. If you go there or have never been, I highly suggest that you absolutely DO NOT go here.

I'm from Savannah, Ga and I had a blast!!!! The food was Great and the music was Awesome. They need to expand the dance floor. Besides that it's a wondetful establishment

This place is the most disgusting place EVER!!!!! Crappy drinks and the owner is a douche bag when it comes to customer service. Avoid this place at all cost!!!!! The night life here is horrible, just a long line and security just waiting for you to set down your drink and throw you out.

I didn't enjoy the fact that they allowed people to smoke inside the premises. I came home and smelt like a walking cigarette. It should be courtesy of others to smoke outside and should be a rule/law. I do not typically go to bars because I enjoy doing other things with my time than drinking and inhaling second hand smoke. very new age, hippie

The staff is awesome and they have great drink specials. They also have great live music. The best nights to go in my opinion are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Saturdays have the best crowds. I love the addition of the upstairs pool tables and lounge area too!
