Steak ''n Shake, Memphis, Tennessee Restaurant Details

Food:

I would have gave it a negative 5 stars if possible. Bathrooms nasty poor work ethics. Food cold when finally brought out after waiting for a long time. I had to ask for my food once I noticed it sitting on counter.

Food:

I'd give 0 stars if possible. Sst there for 10 mins then finally placed an order to sit there and watch all the tables that came in after us get their food, eat, and leave, the 30 mins later we asked what we ordered bc it was never put in. Do not come here.

Food:

Waited 15 mins to have order taken. Waited another 20 mins to have food served. Had the double cheese, with about a 1/8 teaspoon of mayo on. Seriously? Had to ask for more twice.

I counted 13 employees, but only 1 was truly working. She served us as "ours" was too busy talking with the other 12. They huddled up behind the soda fountain and rarely came out. No one was managing the front of the restaurant. Our server, well she earned a $10 tip for making our experience bearable.

Horrible Horibble HORRIBLE. Waited for over twenty minutes to even be acknowledged AFTER a fellow customer reminds the manager that she has not acknowledges us at all after giving him his 40 min late milkshake. Also other tables were seated before us and overall just understaffed and the worst experience in a loooong time! Server very rude making sarcastic and slick comments but doesnt even know how to add extra chicken on a simplistic order! Sad and pathetic and I work in the food industry... unacceptable.

This restaurant was terribly dirty. It was crowded, so I knew staff was busy, but this kind of filth can't be excused. Unbussed tables, food and dirt covering the floors, and even the kitchen was in this condition. The bathroom had trash overflowing onto the floor, along with used sanitary products. The toilet was covered in grime.

The kitchen staff's uniforms were dirty and wrinkled and the wait staff was slow and didn't look happy to serve us at all. We waited in line for over 5 minutes to pay. The staff kept cooking right in front of us, without acknowledging that we were there. When the line finally backed up behind us, someone from the drive thru area yelled up for someone to take care of the register. It was an awful experience.
