Regulars keep coming back over and over again to these classy, modern New American bistros for the consistent sophisticated takes on comfort food and the people-watching (via trendy patios at the Back Bay and South End locales and at the wine bar in the newer Southie spot); some say service can be lacking on occasion, possibly due to packed houses.

Food:

Very good front of house staff, very consistently friendly and professional.

Good but not great breakfast offerings and I found it a bit inconsistent from day to day in terms of it's quality and the way things were prepared and plated.

I didn't care for the balsamic taste to the mushrooms in the omelettes which wasn't described as such on the menu.

Food:

The food was good but $18 dollar pancakes is a bit crazy. Also had issues with communication between hostess and bartender that has us look bad. The place itself is very cute but the hassle and price will keep me from going back

Last time I was here was Easter brunch a few years ago. Came back today to celebrate my father's birthday, and Stephanie's did not disappoint! Drinks and food were delicious. (Frittered French toast, yum!) Our service was quick and though the place was very full, I never felt I had to yell to carry on a conversation. Definitely a place if you're looking to splurge or celebrate a special occasion, and great Back Bay location.

Giving this 4 stars but it's the average of two different reasons to visit Stephanie's.

5 stars! Fantastic brunch menu and some of the best outdoor seating on Newbury

Food:

The waitress was amazing but food was bland and my burger almost killed me. Very disappointed the manager didn't even apologize as I would expect from a restaurant when they make an error I will not be coming back.
