Definitely a must try, call ahead of time because it does get crowded. Great food and beer, I kept it traditional with a burger & beer. Very friendly environment.

Came here for drinks only on a Saturday night. The bar is cozy with an old vibe and street light decor throughout. The drink menu has lots of options and bar staff is friendly and attentive if you aren't there on a busy night. They have two floors with extra space but night I was there they only had one floor open.

This ended up being a very mixed bag for me. Food was generally good. Service was fairly attentive given the busy season. And the beer list was fairly good and had some nice choices. So what's the issue? Two things:
-Noise. OK, if you're here for the bar and vibe, this could be a good thing - really loud. Even the music was blaring at very high volume. Probably good for some people - not for me for a dinner choice.
-Seating. I had a reservation for one. Now I eat out at new restaurant all over almost every week of the year, but I've never had the reservation taken over Opentable be a seat at the bar. Yes, as a solo diner they often try to steer you to the bar, but never actually had the reservation assume that with no notice. When I complained, they reluctantly found me a table downstairs.

Seating is fairly limited. So I'd say a thumbs up for a bar scene but a very lukewarm "maybe" for dinner.

Terrific rustic themed gastropub in Downtown Crossing. Truly awe inspiring beer list, not just the usual hop-forward bro beers. Food is generally excellent, particularly the poutine (a platter of seasoned crispy fries covered in thick homemade gravy and melty cheese curds) and their fantastic rabbit dish, tender and a tad salty from the prosciutto larding. Good burgers and sandwiches too. Reservations highly recommended.

I'm in town for business and this bar came up on a google maps search of 'beer bars'. Very pleased with beer selection...rare to find sours on tap. Jamie was on top of his game. Food was quick and delicious. If I come back to Boston, I'll def come back here. Very pleased. --Kevin
