Great little restaurant with a cool vibe. Oysters were delicious. As well as the shrimp and arctic char.

I'm not sure if the waitress was having a bad day or something, but she was extremely agitated when we asked if we could adjust our seating arrangements away from the noisy and busy kitchen, and rolled her eyes at the employees? It was not remotely discrete and nearly all of us saw it. Alongside this, she continuously pressured us to leave once we were finished with our meal, by asking if we needed the check. Not once, but multiple times within 5 minutes, and this was quite literally after seconds our plates were collected. With my group of friends we weren't able to hold a conversation without her consistently bugging us, and we eventually left after 10 minutes.

Regarding the food, the linguine was fantastic with excellent flavor, but the lobster diavolo and muscles were littered in seasoning to the point where it hardly tasted like seafood.

I would give the food a decent rating, but the service we received was abysmal, and quite honestly ruined the dinner for myself and my friends. For the price point of this restaurant, we expected better service for the premium that comes with the location and atmosphere.

Chef King is brilliant in my opinion. The flavors in his dished take your palate to a different level of consciousness ! The crab and lobster bread pudding is one of the best things I have eaten in my life and I travel far and wide to eat great food. On my list as one of the best restaurants ever.

I can't comment on the food because we were never seated but the hostesses are TERRIBLE! We arrived early to put our names on the list (as we were told to do the night before) and told an hour. Then a family just like ours went up right afterwards and were told 30 minutes. When I questioned the hostesses about it, one said she didn't do it and the other said something changed but she couldn't get ahold of us since they don't take names or give out pagers. Umm we were standing right there all it would have took was the effort. I realize they are that busy so it doesn't matter to them but it was a real turn off to a highly recommended restaurant.

REcommended as one of the best restaurants in Portland so we would give it a try.
Sat outside on a rickety table as big as a playing card with the kitchen blasting odors out the window.
Bread was good as was eggs with salmon mouse. My wife had a lobster which was fine but my guest and I had the halibut and flounder respectively.
My portion was TINY- about 2 ounces and our guest had about the same.
I should have returned it. At the price point they are charging a 2 ounce portion is a joke.
They think the tourists are just stupid and if they keep this place in business they are correct.
