This review is for the BAR area only.... Does not reflex with the resturant side. My wife and I came in around 9:30 last night and sat in the corner area by the entrance of the lounge. The waitress came over and was very nice and polite and asked if we needed anything. She was doing a great job. however the bartender had a disgusting look on his face when he saw us sit down, (like he had to make more drinks or do his job) There were a table of people that where loud and rude in the bar area. One guy was wearing a tshirt, short and NO SHOES. He was yelling at everyone and yelling to the waitress like she was a servent as he was flipping people off. This customer was hammered at 9:45 and should have been cut off from drinking. His entire table where of of control. NO employee or MANAGER did anything to bring order to a chaotic sitituation. We got up and walked out and no one even noticed. Sullivan's for year has had a reputition with High standards of service and DRESS CODE. aka shirt and tie ( NOT LOOK LIKE A BEACH BUM). I am very disappointed and will probably never come back. I will not waste my time or money here. you get what you pay for and I dont see how a place like this could allow such riff raff people to 1. be there .. 2 get out of control before 9:30 on a friday night... shm

Stellar service and the bone in ribeye was off the hook!!! Great time!

I dine at Sullivan's on a weekly basis. The restaurant is among the best I've ever eaten at. What sets it apart from the other are restaurants besides the outstanding food is the staff and ambiance. The bar tenders Jen, Joe and Anthony are among the friendliest and most knowledgeable bar staff I've met, the servers are prompt courteous and know the menu and are quick to help you find the right dish for you. The management staff is by the far the most hospitable and friendly in the Triangle, as well as among the best wine experts in the area. Mark and Chip will definitely do anything to make your dining experience a great one, within reason of course. Along with that, they have the best steaks and freshest seafood in Raleigh.... The Sea Bass is amazing!!!!

So I took my son there for his birthday last year and it was terrible. wrote to them to let them know and they gave me a gift card. the six of us went back last night. The waitress asked what we wanted to drink and we all said water and she seemed kind of bothered by that. we order water no matter where we go and two of the people at the table were underage. the food was HORRIBLE. the bread was hard as a rock. the appetizers were the best thing. salad was just ok but the steak and potatoes and salmon was horrible. i ordered my steak medium and it was burnt on the outside. my friends salmon was dry. I will never ever go back to Sullivan's again. at the end, the waitress said she couldn't take the whole amount of gift card off so just picked and chose things to get it down to get it close. makes NO sense. plus we asked for separate checks which she said she couldn't do either. again, makes no sense. will not ever go back there. TGI Friday's is better than this place. save your time and money.

We went to Sullivan's a couple of weeks ago and the experience was terrible. Everything that could go wrong did. They took care of our bill and sent us home with steaks that they re did for us. The manager gave us his business card and asked us to please give them another chance and to call him personally if and when we wanted to come back. We tried Sullivan's again last night and things couldn't have been any better. We were treated like the only customers in the restaurant even though they were packed. Delicious food and the best service I've ever recieved. Would recommend them to everyone.
