05/20/2015 1:45 pmThis "low-key" East Villager from the Frank crew is a perennial "favorite" thanks to its "wonderful", "simple" Italian fare offered at "low prices"; despite "tight" communal tables, "long waits" and a cash-only policy, the "rustic" digs are "always bustling." |

03/09/2015 5:07 pmSame owners as the restaurant Lil' Frankies and the two restaurants have their similarities. First off it's some of the best Italian food I've ever tasted (this coming from someone with an Italian heritage). Everything feels very homemade and fresh. I personally liked Lil' Frankies better but they do have different things on the menu. Just a heads up, it is very small, tables are cramped but I still think it's worth it. CASH ONLY and make reservations before going. |

01/09/2015 8:59 pmOne of my absolute favorite neighborhood Italian restaurants. Delicious Italian comfort food, it's cash only so come prepared. Most of the pastas are homemade. Very rustic atmosphere. Has a big enough space for birthday parties and at the same time feels very intimate. They also serve a great brunch with pasta and egg dishes. Delizioso! Al Dente! |

09/15/2014 9:18 amMenu choices were great. We had the famous main menu Ragu pasta dish, short rib stuffed pasta (special) with a light veal stock sauce and veal scallopine. The hit of the meal was the Burrata Mozzarella appetizer. The cheese was warn and soft in side over thick sliced beef steak tomatoes and basil. The complementary bread was served with a white bean garlic infused spread - awesome within itself. Wait staff outstanding. This place is now the go to Italian restaurant in the East Village. |
