06/10/2012 11:46 pmShopping with my daughter on Flatbush, stopped at Sybil's. I am familiar with the one in Miramar, FL that my cousin and I used to drive 45 minutes to get to just for a craving of macaroni pie. I ordered the jerk chicken and macaroni pie, my daughter had two beef patties. She is quite the patty connoisseur, but she said she'd "never taken so long to eat a patty." When I asked her if it was bad, she said "No, just different." She did polish off the both of them. My jerk chicken was definitely too salty, but had the right amount of pepper. The lil girl finished mine off straight to the bone. I was very pleased with the macaroni pie. |

05/31/2012 1:42 pmReally warm, kinda ugly restaurant, I would not sit down to eat a Sybil's. But let us get on to the important stuff, the food. Cheese rolls were lacking cheese and were a bit bland. Chicken curry was uninspiring, lacking the edge or bite that makes a good curry, good. The dahl puri was average, crumbly and thick. On the plus side the portions were large. |
