Used a groupon. Fish was excellent. Enjoyed the experience. Everything was fresh and well presented.

Consistently one of the best Japanese restaurants in the Bay Area. Fresh food, great service, tons of fun!

I ate at Tacibana on Monday night, the restaurant seems like it has been going downhill now for a while. Anyway, after about 2 hrs of having tuna and yellow tail, I started experiencing some discomfort which leaded to the worst case of food poisoning I had ever experienced!! I honestly thought I was going to die.

Sit at the sushi or grill bar to best enjoy Tachibana. Sushi is fresh & the Specials Board always offers something new - or a creatively combined something different to sample. Do try the grilled chicken skewers with yuzu kosho. Yuzo is an tart Japanese citrus fruit used to make this exquisitely tart & spicy condiment. Warning - once tasted, the desire for more yuzu kosho can become all consuming. Fortunately, the paste can be found in SF Japantown food shops and online. Be sure to get paste made with actual yuzu fruit.
