If you are going to get tacos on Pine, look no further than Taco Beach Cantina!

Taco Beach is a Cantina/Mexican spot in downtown Long Beach, featuring a nice big bar, comfortable seating inside and out, and a full menu of goodness. Of course with a name like Taco Beach they sport a decent selection of taco things, some of which can get pretty darn cheap if you know when to stop by. This location has both Happy Hour and Taco Tuesday specials so check the website for details.

My girlfriend and I came here on a Tuesday, the restaurant was about halfway full so we had no trouble getting a seat with quick service. The bar sports all the popular Cervezas but not much else in terms of beer, so be ready to slug down some light brews, or simply go for a mojito/margherita! We both ordered tacos which were delicious, packed full of steak, pork and chicken, topped generously with veggies. Everything was nice and fresh, the meat was seasoned nicely and melts in your mouth.

I would give this place 5 stars if they had a better selection on tap at the bar! I do understand Lagers and Pilsners are traditional beers to enjoy, but hear me out. You can go to any hole in the wall spot in LB and get good cheap tacos, but when you are competing downtown on Pine, you should step up the tap game a bit! I would love to come here on tuesdays and stay for multiple rounds of tacos, but I just cant wash so much food down with mediocre beer.

Good food and a great place to people watch. My favorite here? The chips and salsa. There is some sort of secret ingredient that makes me want MORE and MORE until my stomach is begging me to stop.

Pretty cool sports bar meets taco/mex restaurant with ample TVs, decent comp chips/salsa, bar cranking out interesting variations of classics, prompt service and some scrumptious food.

A chili rimmed margarita and habanero-cream sauce shrimp enchilada took my eye on the last visit. Drink was tasty but I don't think my thing for repeat indulgences. The shrimp enchilada dish was bomb - couldn't get enough of the habanero cream sauce! From the rest of the party, I can vouch for carnitas, taquitos and the house margarita.\
A hotter, smoked chili salsa can be requested if the standard isn't up to snuff for you.

There are some notable happy hour deals that should appeal to you if you can visit at the opportune time and also daily special deals. A fair amount of parking wraps around the building so it shouldn't be hard to rest your wheels close by.
