There's a reason they are consistently voted as a top Indian restaurant in Pittsburgh. I can't speak to the authenticity (I'm a native), but I have enjoyed everything I tried and expanded my tastes to many things I'd never have considered before.

Food:

This restaurant serves one of the best authentic Indian cuisine in Pittsburgh. The waiters are courteous and are recommending dishes for your specific taste. Helps a lot for customers who aren't much familiar with Indian dishes and their level of spices. Taj Mahal Restaurant has some wonderful appetizers. I recommend trying the garlic naan with your dishes. The owner is very kind, generous and appreciates his customers.

The family that runs the place is nice they come to you and make sure everything is good and the service was good. The food was grear and seeing you can stuff your face at the buffet I would say just watch out for butt karma bc if your a glutton here you'll pay with violent diarrhea

Ordered chicken biriyani for carry out and received a huge box of rice with exactly 4 pieces of chicken on it. Biriyani tastes like rice mixed with chilli. No flavor, total c***. Hope this place shuts down and get replaced by a nice resturant. So unfortunate that there is no other Indian resturant in the entire neighborhood of Allison Park and this s**tty place is doing a booming business with their super s**tty food. Seriously, people should avoid this place.

Authentic Indian food restaurant. The people who run this are nice, if you get to know them. They recommended some dishes and everything they recommended was seasoned in a delicious Indian flare. I'd give 5 stars, but my chicken was a little dry. The lunch buffet had just enough variety, something for everyone.
