My wife and I were looking for a place to eat last night (2-3-13) and were driving by Tamarack Junction. We decided to go in and try it since we were both in the mood for a steak. The term Steakhouse doesn't seem accurate. This is NOT a sawdust joint. This is fine dining with a semi-casual dress code. The food is served expertly and some dishes are prepared table side. The soup of the day, New England Clam Chowder, was loaded with clams and was very flavorful. My Steak Diane was prepared by whom we believe to be the Maitre-d himself. The medallions could almost be cut with a fork and I actually did that just to see if I could. I haven't had service like this since my first cruise aboard Holland America. And the quality of the food itself was probably amongst the best in Reno. Will DEFINITELY return again.

I have been to the Tamarack many times in the last couple of years. We like to eat at the bar so we can gamble while eating lunch. The food is always very good. The place is very nice. The bartenders are rude and unfriendly. I finally asked to speak to a manager who took my name and phone number and said he would look into it and get back to us. Right. Don't say you are going to do something you won't do. I think as long as management is this incompetent you won't see the bartenders doing a better job. Lots of other places to eat.

Tamarack is a local gem. Everything you need or want, sports bar, smoking bar, diner, pizza, steakhouse, machines, sports book, breakfast and food 24 hours! Gotta love this place!

I ate at the new statehouse with my family and it was amazing. I found the food to be everything I have come to expect from the "tammy"... In regards of service & quality of food ...this place is unmatched. I think Harris steakhouse is a garbage dump road side stand compared to the tamaracks new steakhouse.. Thank you for the great food!!
