12/09/2015 5:53 pmWonderful food and ambiance and great service except for the waitress / chef ? who was not the most diligent when it came to clearing the table at the end. I must stress that the young waiter (a younger version of Zuckerberg) was wonderful. 5 stars are for those who perfect all.... |

10/01/2014 11:52 pmBeen here 3 times. Every time the tasting menus have been different, and every time has been amazing. If you like Asian fusion, this might just be the best restaurant in Maine. Tasting menu is the way to go. |

08/17/2014 8:19 pmNot only is Tao Yuan offering some of the most beautiful, sophisticated and startlingly delicious food in Maine, it's also one the finest and most exciting dining experiences to be had in all of New England at the moment. Exceptionally refined, beautifully nuanced and flawlessly executed with immaculately fresh locally-sourced ingredients, the cuisine brilliantly blends pan-Asian flavors and culinary traditions with the artistry and technical mastery of traditional French cooking. A destination restaurant, easily worth the 3-hour trip from Boston to experience a meal unlike anything else in the region. Oh, and did I mention the extraordinary value? The chef's "blind tasting menu" of a dozen or more courses is almost absurdly inexpensive at $48pp. Simply wonderful. |

08/16/2014 2:06 amWe'd looked forward to dining here for quite a while, and it did not disappoint. Loved that it was a tasting menu, because we were able to try so many dishes. Each one was totally unique and absolutely delicious. I would be happy to order any of them again, and I feel sure I would also love any of the dishes we didn't try. Wish we lived closer . . . . |

04/28/2014 2:08 pmEvery aspect of our meal was truly extraordinary. We dropped in without reservation because the warm and lively atmosphere caught our eye. We weren't disappointed. The waitstaff was extremely helpful in explaining the menu, specials, and recommending items for us. And the food was incredible. The chef has a mastery of combining flavor (and also skill at wooing customers with her tableside visits). I'd recommend Tao Yuan to anyone dining in Brunswick. |
