Their customer service is awful and they're racist when it comes to African Americans. They are rude but, pleasant to anyone who isn't black.

My fav tacos de asada anywhere. Hate that their burritos are so small tho. Usually order a burrito and 2tacos.... with green sauce only tho... its just me. I only like tomatillo sauces!

This place is a total joke! You would think that in a location that is completely surrounded by other businesses offering EXACTLY the same thing, the emphasis might be placed on service; not here it isn't. I am a light-skinned latina who is often mistaken for white and, as such, things are often said in my presence by people who do not realize I am fully capable of understanding them. My visit today began with the waitress/cashier rolling her eyes at me when I chose to order in Spanish and then huffing and shifting from foot to foot when I handed her my card in order to pay (Oh! I'm sorry, I guess the sign on the door that says credit cards accepted comes with the caveat that you don't have to like it.). This woman takes my card for payment, then walks away without a word or a glance of acknowledgment and proceeds handle the 4 tables currently seated in the restaurant. I understand being short staffed but why not invite me to sit or at least say something along the lines of, "excuse me a minute." rather than confiscating my card and walking away as if I'm no longer even there? My card was finally returned to me, my food arrived in a timely fashion and the cook who handed it over to me was very polite. Unfortunately, the cashier had clearly been huffing too loudly while I placed my order to hear me ask for an horchata (so wait, I paid $9.10 and you didn't even charge me for my drink?) so the cook politely apologized, the cashier rolled her eyes at me and told me it would be an additional $1.70 which I was completely willing to pay (I'm still unsure why, but I was), I waited for her to complete the order she was taking but when my turn came and I attempted to pay her for the drink (which was already on the counter in front of me courtesy of the nice cook) she once again turned away as if I weren't even there and began to walk away AGAIN. I told her she could have the drink as I would buy myself something somewhere else. The tacos were fine, nothing special enough about them to charge nearly ten dollars over but they weren't disappointing. Considering the outrageous price ($9.10 for 3 tacos) and the complete lack of effort on the part of those employees in most direct contact with the public, I strongly suggest you spend your money elsewhere. There are at least 4 other restaurants of the same type and quality on this block of clark street, no need to waste your money here.

Best steak tortas in Chicago! This place is simple yet very delicious. The prices are reasonable and they are so local that you do not get a menu when you order. A Rogers Park gem for years and years to come!
