Long Story Short: I was a great customer of Taste of China for almost 2 years - Used to get "Take Out" like twice a week and saw the Lady that took my order over the phone and to pick up many, many times. I think their FOOD is amazing, their PRICES are great...I stopped going there, because I found the front desk lady very rude/short on the phone the last 5-6x and most importantly - did not give me the correct cash back/change when breaking my $20 bill a couple of times. Last time I checked it wasn't too hard to give the correct change back when you have a calculator and cash register in front of you and work with the same prices/combos all day. I never said anything about it, because I didn't realize until I got to my car. I don't know if I trust this was a mistake or not (or whether she is just too rushed all the time) so you've lost me as a customer from being very rude/short/rushed on the phone and the $5 of incorrect change in two visits was enough for me to "find another fast-food Chinese restaurant."

Includes all the typical Chinese take-away entrees as you would expect with the unexpected qualities of actually being delicious, not greasy, and in large quantities for the price. Definitely the best in the area.

This is your typical Chinese place that has several (here, six) spartan booths in the restaurant, but probably does more take-out business. You know, the one with the dozen back-lighted pictures of entrees on the menu. Yep, that kind.

Sometimes language is an issue in these restaurants, but not this time. It was my first visit. The lady who took my order understood me well enough to answer any questions I had about the way the food was prepared, etc.

Kung Bo Shrimp: I think this is their equivalent to Kung Pao. I tried it and it was pretty good. This was the $4.75 lunch special. Quantity for that price was very generous. It was a standard, but good, brown sauce which had carrots, celery, water chestnuts, mushrooms, green peppers, and peanuts. The shrimp wasn't overdone, and they were large and numerous enough. The peanuts were sprinkled on top, after cooking, and were probably Planters or similar.

Cashew Chicken: my friend got it and he said it was good. It looked like it was cooked just like the Kung Bo, but it wasn't as spicy. Like the peanuts above, the cashews were sprinkled on after cooking.

Pork Fried Rice: average. It had more flavor than Rainbow Garden (up North near Youngsville), but was not as moist.

Crab Rangoons: very good. These are the envelope style, which would be triangles, but two of the points are folded in. They were generously stuffed and the wonton they used was light and crispy.

Summary: right now, after limited exposure, I prefer Taste of China over Rainbow Garden. I have not yet tried the third one in the area, Hong Kong Restaurant.
