First I want to make sure you are aware of one thing... this is not "The Thai Place" you are looking for. Most people I know judge a Thai resteraunt by how well they do phad thai. Honestly, this is the worst place I've ever had phad thai. I don't go there for the phad thai though. However, if you do end up ordering phad thai, I'm sure you will have plenty left over so here's a little tip for you.

Heat up a pan or cast iron (smoke point hot). While heating, in a separate dish mix together 2 table spoons soy sauce. 1/2 tsp ginger (paste or shredded fresh works best). A tsp of minced garlic. 1 tsp of sesame oil. 1 table spoon of garlic chili paste. 2 tsp of fish sauce. 1/2 tsp (or more) of red pepper flakes. 1 good pinch of salt. Mix all together well. Add two table spoons of veg oil to the pan once good and hot. Toss your leftover (full serving) of the phad thai into the pan... stir/toss/mix as needed for about 15 seconds. Add in the mixture noted above. Toss for about 2 minutes, cover hot for 1 minute adding in the shrimp. Pull, serve, garnish. For extra heat, just add more red pepper flakes or even sriracha.

Now then, most of their other dishes are pretty good. Their phad thai just lacks that level of umami you look for in that dish. This tip will get you closer to the level of awesomeness that once was "The Thai Place" in Westport. I used to make my own sauce for phad thai... a traditional sauce is about 20 different ingredients. The serving staff there have always been great and the times I've been in they have always had some good music playing (Armin Van Buren, Deadmau5, Paul Van Dyke)... whoever chose the music is pretty cool in my book.

So, don't be shy by the location, or the bad reviews of takeout or phad thai... be a little more adventurous. I've always enjoyed their phad kee mao (drunken noodle), and curries. I know I'll be going back for sure.

Good for lemon grass stir fry and basil fried rice... Rest of items are average... Check out their daily specials.. Some are good..

They charge extra for carry out on specials.. Which of weird.. Loss of one start in ratings..

Worst Carry-Out Restaurant in the North Land. Not only can they not get a carryout order correct, they don't seem to care that they don't! My last carry-out the veggies in the Pad Kew Mao were raw, only slightly heated and there was NO sauce. Just noodles and raw veggies. I will never do carry out from here again!

I had Pad Thai and the sticky rice dessert. Pad Thai was mediocre - not very spicy, a lot of tomato sort of flavor, and the noodles were sticky. The sticky rice was tasty and warm, but it's sort of hard to mess up rice.

Service was friendly, but the restaurant was very busy, and it took quite awhile for the food to come. Overall, a mediocre experience. May not return.
