Eye-opening is how fans describe this wonderful surprise in the South End, the only Senegalese restaurant in Boston, whose unusual, swoon-inducing cuisine is served amid true African ambiance (including a sapele-and-zebrawood bar dispensing beer and wine); large, well-priced portions and gracious service complete the picture.

My first time trying Senegalese cuisine. Small place, possibly understaffed. Felt the tables were too close to one another. Relaxed atmosphere with African inspired decor. Food was good.
Nems - chicken and beef spring rolls were OK. The Michoui - roasted lamb and caramelized onions with couscous was DELISH!. The Mafé - Lamb stew with jasmine rice was good too though i felt the vegetables were a bit undercooked.
Coco-Doux cocktail was horrible.
Appetizers and cocktails are around 10$. Entrees cost around 20$. Portions are a on the lower side.

Great presentation and quick service but please work a little bit more on sides portion quantity. And also if possibly could include other African dishes such as "EGUSI" will be delightful.
But for the rest, I'll definitely recommend this place to anyone starving for some good African experimental taste.

The food was great (easily a four or five), but the service was very unprofessional. We came at 6:45 and did not leave until 9:45 because it took 25 minutes before anyone took our order, another 15 before we got water and silverware, and almost an hour each between appetizers and main course. The restaurant was small but clearly understaffed and disorganized. The atmosphere was good and people were pleasant but the next table over were there for 4 hours and never got their cocktails or one of their main courses.
It's a real shame that the place is not more efficiently run, because they have stellar food and their tables were full of customers, it could be a fantastic restaurant except their ticketing system and waitstaff training are both awful or nonexistent.

Great food but small portion and average service. I wouldn't come back again.

After seeing the restaurant on channel 2, We were pumped to try African dishes. Well after being there almost 2 hours only 2 out 3 entries arrived paid our bill and we left. The restaurant was half filled and it took 45 mins for appetizers and 1 hour for salads.

4 or 5 of other dinners had simmer experiences that we shared leaving. We asked to speak to the manager, who was the woman on the channel 2 program. She refused to talked to us, I guess getting grief for poor service was common
