Food:

This place was only okay. I hated that they had half the restaurant dedicated to looking like a closet. Also, the food was too expensive. It would be nice to have a variety of salads in a sampler platter, because otherwise, it wasn't even worth trying them. They do have excellent pork ribs.

Food:

A mixed bag: it's probably one of the better Thai restaurants in Lincoln, but your dining experience may be detracted by your surroundings. I have eaten here about 4 times now and gotten carryout 2 times. Flavor, service & value are noteworthy here, the decor & surroundings are not. From the outside it looks closed down. It's kind of like dining in a thrift store, there are boxes of stuff here & there. I like the musty college dorm-style couch they have by the register for carryout customers. All they need is blaring rock music and cats running around to add to the ambiance.
The last time I was there I ordered a bottle of Budweiser, it tasted lousy ( no jokes here please). I don't usually care about this food expiration business but I checked the "born-on" date and it was 22 months ago. No credit cards. The funky Asian store next door is worth checking out for certain items. Beware it can be messy & have expired-date foods as well.

This restaurant was so bad, I decided to write my first review ever. My only hope is that no one else be subjected to their ketchup covered noodles and fat covered stew meat. The service was ok. The atmostphere is what you'd expect to find at a low budget chinese restaurant. Needless to say, the food was terrible.

Food:

It's amazing that you can get so much good food here for so little. The taste of the food is complex and perfect, and the portions are very large. When I go there, I split one soup and one meal with a friend, and we always have left-overs of both. They can make anything with tofu instead of meat, which is great for me and my friends. So I can't comment on their meat, but the spices are masterful on the tofu dishes I've had, so I assume it would be the same for meat dishes. It is probably true the The Blue Orchid's food is a little better, but I really don't think it's worth the price difference unless it's a special occasion.

Plain and simple, great food at a great price! Its a must try... Not much to look at from the outside but the food is true and healthy too!
