Thai Paradise is no longer. New owners have been here almost a year. Prices are more reasonable and the food is better. The new name is Sweet Angel. Yes I have eaten there many times as I own Uncle Tom's Market next door. 06/07/13

I consider this dining experience to be one of the worst ever and that includes the canned putrid calmari I got at Bangkok Garden. I called in an order and the person on the phone knew next to nothing about the menu. I ordered Pad Thai with chicken, spicy fried rice, crab rangoons and pork dumplings. I was told the total was $32.10. I picked up the food and left a $5.00 tip, sincere the restaurant was empty, which, in retrospect should have been a hint. When I got home, there was no Pad Thai. The Spicy Fried Rice was overcooked and had maybe a half an onion and three slices of celery with enough chicken to get a piece every fourth or fifth bite. The rangoons were so hard they were almost inedible. And if there was any crab in them it was well hidden. I did call to ask about my non-existent Pad Thai and was told 'Oops! I forgot to write it down!' So I asked what made up the $32.10, I was told the rice was $14.95! I could have bought 12 boxes of Rice-a-roni for that and had better rice! The dumplings were not disgusting but I wouldn't buy them again.

My advice to anyone looking for Thai food is to choose anywhere else, at least if the food is bad you can afford it!

I have to begin by saying that I love Thai food.

Living in Maryland and having the pick of several good Thai restaurants in which to choose from, it was a real joy to discover "Thai Paradise" right here in Brunswick.

My wife and I, have our favorite dishes that we tend to repeat when we go back to the same Thai restaurant back home. Imagine our surprise when Jack, who is the owner and chef of "Thai Paradise" produced several of these same dishes for us and created a meal to remember.

Here's a little secret that you might find interesting. "Thai Paradise" is normally closed on Mondays, but Jack said that if we had a party of five or more he would open up his restaurant just for us. It was really cool as we had mentioned to Jack certain dished that we did not see on the menu during an earlier visit and Jack said just tell him what we liked and he would cook it for us. I am happy to say that Jack came through with flying colors. That one evening had to be one of the best dining experience my wife and family have ever had anywhere in the world. Yes,it was that GOOD!

If you are in the area don't miss "Thai Paradise". The fresh flowers in the restaurant and generally casual atmosphere all blend in to make one feel super comfortable and relaxed.

If you do make it to "Thai Paradise", ask Jack if he has any whole crispy fish. It is not on the menus but it mouthwatering good. Lastly, see if you can snare some mango sticky rice it is a great way to finish off a meal. We had a nice Argentinian Sav Blanc to wash down the freshest food in Brunswick. You will not be disappointed with your very own "Thai Paradise" experience.

P.S. I plan on trying out the Mango Lobster during my next visit.
