The food at this place is really good. By really good, I mean probably one of my favorite places to go in town for Thai food. However - do NOT come into this restaurant with a small party. They are not attentive to small parties at all and will either forget about you or put your order last. If you come in with a large group, they are much more attentive and will treat you like royalty. I went with one other person and the waitress forgot my drink. When I reminded her, she gave me a bad attitude about it. I definitely will be trying to find a comparable Thai restaurant because it's very annoying to give my money to a place who doesn't treat each and every customer equally.

Food:

Although the hot food is delicious (fresh, crunchy vegetables mixed in sauces that aren’t overbearing) expect the spices to sit up on the cold dishes like oil upon water. Ornate in decoration with plenty of gold and dark wood fixtures, the dim lighting and large booths provide a lot of personal space for parties of different sizes. The staff has always been attentive, although past experience has also had different servers almost annoyingly always asking if everything was all right.

This is my favorite Thai restaurant and in my mind certainly the most authentic in Sarasota. Don’t let the Gulf Gate strip mall location deceive, once you enter the restaurant you are in Thailand – decoration, staff, dress and food is all Thailand. The food is Soooo tasty! Very flavorful and authentic, Prices are reasonable, and portions are huge! The Pad Khing is by far one of the best I have ever tasted. Friendly attentative service – I have also visited at lunch, there’s a good choice of menu, again large servings and I was in and out of there in my lunch hour. I went with a friend and although the food was okay the service was horrible. We did not feel welcome for even one minute. We got to the restaurant 45 min before close and they were still rushing us like crazy. Asked for our order before we even opened the menus. We were in and out of the restaurant in 20 min. Good food but the employees need an attitude adjustment.
