Food:

The food is good, the craft mixed drinks are marginal but the bar tenders are great at wine recommendations, the service was horrible - our drinks and plates were completely empty and no one would check on us.

Great attentive staff with a relaxed atmosphere. The tapas really do Spain justice, do yourself a favor and get the patatas bravas with the paella (was on special tonight, not regular menu item). Our server Doug made the night great!

Spanish tapas restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed this place, benefitting from the Sunday Funday 2 for 1 drink special (literally any drink behind the bar, including wine bottles). Very dimly lit, romantic atmosphere. Wasn’t crowded at all on the Sunday evening we went (I’d say about a quarter filled). The bartender was great (we sat at the bar), recommending the hot mushroom tapas that my girlfriend almost squirted over. Not being a mushroom guy, I went for the charcuterie dish—four different cured meats, including chorizo. Yummy. I particularly enjoyed the fried avocado with the pico de gallo. This place doesn’t blow away any of the other tapas places I’ve been, but we both had a fine night there. Oh, and my girlfriend loved the Sangria. 4 stars.

Just awful. I had a reservation for 8pm for 4 people... when they called to confirm I bumped it up to 5 the day before. When I called on the day of dining to confirm - they claimed I never made the change to 5 and suggested the 5 of us could "Jam into" a booth. The woman on the phone had total attitude and then claimed I sounded like we weren't going to come and ask that I add a credit card to then hold the reservation. Frankly the food isn't that good to put up with that level of service.

We've been to The 9th Door a number of times, including multiple times in 2015. If you're up for Tapas this is a great place that has delivered for us every time. The food and the atmosphere are outstanding, though on weekend nights the bar is very popular and it can be pretty packed and rambunctious if you're sitting close to it.

I see a few negative reviews mentioning pricy small plates and poor service. Tapas are definitely small plates and this place is not cheap, so make sure your expectations are set before going there. We have not experienced poor service there, but as with anywhere I would expect that to cast a pall over the whole experience.

Nearly "flawlessly executed" "delectable bite-size servings" go down well with Iberian wines at this LoDo Spanish tapas bar whose "sexy, "romantic" vibe makes it "perfect" for a weeknight date; on the weekends, "awesome" deals bring a more "loud" and "happening" crowd, but the "professional servers" keep things simpatico.
