great experience here. came in at 2 in the morning with a rather large group and the staff took care of us extremely quickly. if you love citrus you gotta try the big mama. it's an amazing drink. the mushroom burger is also incredible! a really relaxing atmosphere as well.

Loved it.. Great atmosphere! The bartender/server was friendly and attentive. The food was good and her recommendation of a drink was even better. When visiting the area I will definitely eat here again!!

After trying to find a place in raleigh that does happy hours until 7pm I settled on this place....and I regret all $11.73 cents of it. 1. The wait staff was not attentive and when I came to meet with my friend he didn't ask if I needed a menu to look at what I wanted to order. 2. I order "The Boomerang" which was a spinach dip with mushrooms and cream cheese?....well the spinach look and tasted like something they got out of a can and so did the rest of the food. My friend got a dip sampler and hers tasted just as bad. the baguette weren't even nicely toasted. All it tasted like was like oven toasted bread with drizzled butter on. 3. My drink was a little to strong..that was the most decent thing I ordered. 4. Lastly, we asked for our checks after only taking a few bites (and I always finish my food but I couldn't for once)...It took a little while to get our checks...we had to ask three different bartenders/servers to finally get our checks. I am NEVER COMING BACK! It was a waste of my money. Unless you are ok with mediocre food...DO NOT GO AND DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY for the food. Drinks are ok.

P.S. I don't understand how the food is rated so high...maybe it was good some time back it was not delicious...AT ALL!!

This popular eatery and bar on the corner of Morgan Street sports a lovely patio and decent bar inside. Expect the place to get rowdier as the evening goes on but if you visit the Borough earlier in the evening, you can get a casual and delicious meal for not much money.

Start with a plate of huge hushpuppies and honey butter, yum! But don't fill up on these because the sandwiches are also quite good here. A beer off the small selection of taps or their house favorite Pom BR cocktail will keep you hydrated.

Staff at the Borough is usually hipster and tattooed, service can be a bit hit or miss but usually ok. The Borough is a bar and hangout as much as it is a restaurant so time your visits accordingly. Good food at decent prices with an eclectic crowd usually works well here.
