A mecca for meat in the South End, this upscale-casual French-Italian steakhouse from Barbara Lynch uses superior cuts for its daily changing entrees and charcuterie boards, which are paired with a lovely list of offbeat wines by educated servers; the intimate, sanctuary-like space is so hard to get into, but guests can also drop by for butchery lessons or to purchase cured goods and sausage links from the well-stocked glass cases.

Fantastic European style butcher restaurant in Boston! Their cuts are great, all the food is locally sourced and perfectly prepared! Their appetizers (pates) are delicious and the cheese selection is just enough to not scare anyone away but with true gems hidden away. I also highly recommend their burger in the summer on Sundays and Mondays!

This was my first time at this restaurant and I was served a piece of tough meat, hardly what you expect for such an expensive meal. Not only was it tough, it came from the kitchen highly salted. I'm not sure why they wouldn't let me solve it myself. Also, there were bright lights emanating from a large display case in the restaurant, not a pleasant feeling.

Can't say enough good things about this Barbara Lynch restaurant. The steak tartare is one of my favorite in the entire city. Excellent wine selection and great service.

I ate there yesterday and purchased some terrine of foie gras. The food was excellent, but the waitress we had was horrible. I think I will just order out from there going forward.

Worst dinner I've had in Boston. Went with a friend, menu for a butcher shop was extremely limited, barely any meat on it. The food took forever to come out, it was the wrong order, and after it came back right it was not very good. The service was fine, the space is fine, but not something to return to. Many other better places in the city.
