Expect to queue. Worth the wait and visit.

My third visit to Cheesecake Factory in the city. Enjoyed every single visit - at least for the food.

Visited at mid day with two overseas guests, wait was approx 20mins, the shortest of the three visits that I had.

We were seated promptly but the server took years to come by. Was the least friendly and inattentive server I have met at Cheesecake Factory.

Ordered onion rings, Vietnamese rolls, red velvet cheesecake and 2 other cheesecakes which I can't recall right now.

The food as usual were yummy. The Vietnamese rolls are not the authentic Vietnamese roll but they tasted fine. The onion rings were super good.

The cheesecakes were of course the main highlight. My guests were overwhelmed with the options available and were so torn having to choose three out of the entire list.

All the cheesecake tasted fantastic. Key Lime Cheesecake is my ultimate favorite among the list.

Definitely worth visiting and worth the wait. Try to visit during mid day might help to shave off some wait time.

This place literally more like a factory than a restaurant. With a menu containing over 250 items and as thick as War and Peace it would be almost impossible not to find something you like. The place is always packed with people waiting in line ass bookings cannot be guaranteed.
The atmosphere is frantic - and the staff numbers required to serve all the patrons is staggering. But it all works like a Swiss watch.
The variation of meals is amazing and even the appetisers are big enough. Be sure to leave room for one of their 50 choices for desert and cheesecakes.

Never had a bad meal here. No matter what you choose to eat it will be good. It's worth it to save some room for cheesecake too they have so many delicious options. Amazing!

Food:

ALWAYS CROWDED. If you're in the East Bay skip this location and go to the one in Walnut Creek (that one is usually crowded too, but the wait isn't as long, more closer to 15 minutes than an hour).

The best seat is outside on the patio overlooking Union Square. (Ask for a seat near the heater if you're prone to get cold.) My favorite day of the week to come here is on Sunday, in the morning. Yes, it's still crowded, but you can get seated a little bit quicker than if coming for dinner. This is Cheesecake Factory - the menu is literally a book and there is something for everyone here. I think the price is right and you get huge portions. My favorite cheesecake is key lime - LOVE IT!!! And I like to sample their seasonal cheesecakes, which a bite size is the right size after a Cheesecake Factory meal.

Favorites: Strawberry Waffles, Lunch Pizza and Salad, a chicken pasta dish, a Shepherd's Pie dish, and more.

UPDATE July 2015: the best time to go is right when they open on a typical weekday morning.

A hostess by the name of Victoria helped me yesterday. She was very sweet, got us a window seat with a nice view. She was very helpful. I could tell she really loves her job. Management is doing a really good job.
