The Garden Restaurant, Tampa, Florida Restaurant Details

This has got to be one of the worst restaurants that I have ever eaten at. I ordered fish and it was so salty that just the thought of it still makes me gag. The restaurant smells like an open sewer. I don't know how it is as a bar, but stay away from the food.

I went on a Saturday night. It was completely dead! and the streets were packed, so it had nothing to do with there just not being people around to go in there.

I found out quickly why people skip right over it and continue on to the next location. I was sitting at the bar talking to a friend and we had to stop our convo because two workers decided to start talking really loudly right in front of us about their screwed up beer costs! I've worked in the food industry long enough to know you are not to inform the guests about your internal problems. The place was empty...and they chose to fight right in front of us....as though they couldn't find another place to do it??

The food was edible at best but the music was good. They have someone singing live...I just felt bad because the only people he was singing too was me, my friend and the people that worked there!

There are too many amazing places to eat at in downtown St. Pete to waste your money here.

Atmosphere and great food! I hope those with one bad experience at this place can give it another chance. I've been here time after time, it's the place I bring friends and family when they come to visit because they have excellent flavorful inventive food at great prices, and an amazing greenhouse atmosphere with a garden patio that feels like it's right out of a fairy garden. There's a lot of Greek/Mediteranean food which I personally love but they also have great salads, burgers, a nice mix. The waiters and waitresses are usually artsy so I can see how there may be some service issues at times but it really fits the laid-back artistic atmosphere I think.
