Great lunch. We have visited The Good Egg many times over the last 20 years. We were pleasantly surprised to see all the changes. The entire place is remodeled and very contemporary. The menu has all changed too ( ah, still the classic favorites) but new and different things have been added.
I had the egg white veggie omelet and it was very good. Prices are good and it is was a good experience.

Excellent food! friendly knowledgeable staff. Nicole W. Made my experience all the better. I came back for the food and atmosphere originally because I love the food and the new remodel. but after meeting Nicole I like the place much more. People like her make a great place the best place to eat for breakfast.

9:00. Not particularly busy on a Wednesday morning. Ordered the Hot Juan burrito. Huge burrito, not enough salsa to pair. I found a hair atop the chili verde glaze. Additionally, my water became empty and I never received a refill. Didn't realize that was something that still even happened at restaurants. The waiter was friendly but neglectful to my obvious - and I do mean obvious - needs. He asked if I needed a box before I had finished and after I replied with a no thank you, I haven't yet finished, he brought me the check (I was promptly forgotten). $13 for a burrito and poor service? I am thirsty. Very disappointing and quite overpriced considering the caliber of food and service. Thanks, Raul.

Ironically, I have given my good egg experience 5 stars.

With a line out the door, I was seated instantly. I had their "Side Kick of the Month"- White Chocolate Raspberry Pancakes, on my mind. This, and nothing more. Traffic laws, children starving in 3rd world countries; all replaced by a stack of pancakes. Less than that, a picture of a stack of pancakes; I had yet to taste them.

I took a picture of the advertisement which was placed, abundantly, on EVERY table.
When the cakes arrived, much to my surprise, they appeared IDENTICAL to the pristine image on photo-stock. THIS NEVER HAPPENS AT ANY RESTAURANT.

I was delighted; ignorant to my own impending DOOM.

It was delicious at first. At middle. At end.

I experienced sugary sweet receptor overload; convinced that I was ready to leave this world. Yes, I believe that I had accomplished what I came to Earth to accomplish in my life time. I'm happy now. Beam me up Scotty-God..

Was it, 'that good?', I was asked?
No.

Good isn't fair to say. what this was, was not an adjective. It was a verb. It was an attack.

It was an attack on my senses which I was clearly unprepared for. It was a nuclear white chocolate raspberry holocaust where I was tricked into standing at the front line; dropping trousers.

It was warm. Then scolding hot; a bright flash!

Now it's cold... I'm so cold.

The light is fading.

My trusty glass of water- complete with complimentary refill, is not completing me further.

It's dark now.

I believe that I'm searching for a white flag, or handkerchief, of surrender. But, I can't tell cause I can no longer see in the darkness.

I was pancake accosted. I have drunken the "Kool-Aid" and am ready to surrender all my secrets to the Lords and Ladies of The Good Egg.

My legs have lost their function, now.

God bless this high chair.

I've been to The Good Egg several times, largely because it is so close to my house. The food has varied from Fair to Good. The last few times the food has been more in the Fair/Poor range. Asparagus on the omelets looks old and unpleasant. Wasn't too happy with the yogurt parfait... lacking in good fruit and granola. The service is what finally turned my family off enough to not come back. We've had 3 or 4 servers and only 1 was good. The servers are hard to find/track down... visit table infrequently. During the colder months, we've asked for the heat lamps to be turned on... and only once out of 3 or 4 times have they been able to turn them on, despite servers and managers fiddling w/the lamps for quite some time. On our last visit there, here are the issues that ended it: 1. waiter was pushy about us ordering quickly. 2. smell of dead animal near the patio. and 3. heat lamps not working again. We paid for coffee and left w/o a scene or incident. As we paid, I was surprised the manager didn't ask why a table of 3 was leaving w/only 1 cup of coffee on the bill. I think that speaks to the lack of attention to service and customers.
