I want to give it more stars, but DANG. I loved the food, it's literally so beautiful to look at you almost don't want to eat it. It's delicious and thought out. It's as if there is love in it. Each bite is savory, because you want to savor it. My husband and I went to this establishment for my birthday. Us, considering it an event dressed up. Which, in light of the crowd of casual 'yuppies' we stuck out. There was a card on the table, wishing me a happy birthday and a glowing candle. The only downside was the waiter, to be honest. He was training someone, seemed short and irritated by our questions. SORRY I don't know what farafelle pasta is! My plebian middle class scum of an upbringing has not cultured me in the other word for bow tie pasta. For what you're paying, and what you're expected to tip I sincerely believed I would be getting better service. For not wanting to ruin a celebratory evening, it was not further discussed or brought to light. But, it would deter me from another visit. If I want amazing food and a sassy attitude I'll just stay at home.

Fine dining in Omaha with terrific food, well made drinks and superb presentation. My stop here included a multi-course dinner paired with wine and cocktails. The food was exquisitely prepared, had great flavor and was quite satiating. The sweet potato soup was exceptional and and salad we delicious. Overall the service was good albeit slow for a Wednesday night with half of the restaurant empty. They have a good wine list, limited beer selection and make quality cocktails. Pricing overall, but great for special occasions, date nights or foodies.

The food is fantastic. Your taste buds burst with all the different flavored. I enjoyed watching my husband literally smile with every bite. Fantastic wait staff very friendly and knows everything on the menu and what is cooked in it.

SUPERB DINNER. A great restaurant with a unique menu, great wine selection, and impeccable service. We had a flawless meal here that was both excellent food and attentive service. Modern atmosphere and unique dishes make this a great spot for an upscale, but relaxing nice dinner out. In a great part of town too.

My colleagues and I were entertaining an invited seminar speaker from Boston and thought this place would really impress a Harvard professor. The dinner started out with local draft beers which were very tasty. So far so good, right? As with other reviewers, the long winded descriptions of every appetizer and dish slowly lost their gleam. The climax of the night came when the server went into great detail describing every item that helped to create the most exquisite tossed salad. He left out one important detail on my salad that I asked him to describe. What is the species of this particular "roly poly" bug walking through my lettuce sipping on the olive oil panna cotta mixed with honey? Which genera from the Armadillidiidae family does this critter belong to is what I should have asked instead of just asking him to further describe him as part of the total salad experience. The server took my salad plate without saying a WORD and after a short time a different server came back and handed me my salad, again, without saying a WORD! It looked like the outer edges of the salad were removed along with the BUG and the same salad only less of it. Needless to say, I avoided the salad. Unfortunately, ordering Davey Road's Ranch Grass Fed Beef didn't improve the evening. At best, it was ok, if you prefer your steak dry and chewy like a biscuit. I'm sure it was the anti-placebo effect of not receiving an apology from anyone that added to my distaste for the food that followed. Our guest from Boston even commented that the proprietors and staff in Boston were more pleasant than those at the Grey Plume in Omaha. And then the piece de resistance was not the dessert but was the manager's unmitigated audacity to ask us to leave in not so many words because this table was reserved for other guests. Another great opportunity to make a return customer out of me blown to bits. The next day I went to Mickey D's and received a coupon for a free item because they were a little slow with the order. Even McDonald's has the proper knowledge of how to take care of their customers. After spending what was probably thousands on our "experience", they gave us some kind of cheap cookie wrapped in plastic. A perfect ending to the night.
