01/24/2011 3:35 pmMy family and I went here for restaurant week last night. The meal was very good, thou the service was quite slow (or relaxing, depending on how you look at it). The RW deal was for 3 courses for $35. To that they added a pre-appetizer snack and some small pastries for the table and a small coconut to-go gift. The pre-appetizer was mussels based, but as our table was mostly vegetarians they offered tomato soup as a substitute. The meal did take over 2 hours I believe, but it was very enjoyable. The menu for the extended Restaurant Week (Jan 25-29) looked much better than when we went. Nice treat. |

09/23/2010 7:43 pmVery much enjoyed the cheeseburger, fries were great. Chocolate crème brule and a cappuccino after. What's not to like? The plodding pace of the place. Long wait to place drink orders and get them. Long wait to place food order. Long wait for food. Long wait to be asked about dessert and coffee. You get the idea. Not well-suited for a workday lunch when you have to get back to your desk. If you don't have to get back to work, then enjoy the meal. (Oh, and like many other Washington establishments, the restaurant is over-air-conditioned.) |

06/13/2010 3:36 amWhat a shame! Great history, great atmosphere, decent food and menu. However, the night was tempered by wait staff that was handcuffed by either a language barrier or lack of knowledge. |
