"Up-to-date" guestrooms and a "terrific" location blocks from Union Station and the Capitol draw train travelers and those with business on the Hill to this "busy" venue run by generally "helpful" employees; critics grumble about service lapses, but a "refreshing", rare-for-DC rooftop pool/bar that's a "fun place to hang" and the on-site restaurant Art and Soul (by Top Chef Masters alum Art Smith) serving "excellent" food add value, so most conclude it makes for an "overall pleasant" stay.
