The Old Fashioned, Madison, Wisconsin Restaurant Details

Cheese curds are great, beer selection is fantastic. Tons of Wisconsin beers on tap. Or food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Portions are also extremely generous!!! Laura was a great server!!

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. They really deserve the reputation they have. Toss my recommendation on top of the huge pile along with everyone else's.

It was good! The music is a little loud, so it's hard to make conversation with those around you. But the food is delicious.

Excellent cheese curds and string onions - very light breaking. Wisconsin burger, walleye sandwich and chicken pot pie special all hit the mark. Steak overbooked but happily redone. Special drinks and local draft amber lager made for a great meal.

Stopped by for cheese curds and drinks while showing an out of town guest a good time. The Old Fashioned is still the best place for deep fried cheese curds in town (in my opinion) with great breading to cheese ratio and not too greasy. Add in the tiger sauce and they are amazing.
I always suggest anyone stopping in also to partake in the name sake Old Fashioned (brandy sweet of course). You won't be disappointed.
