The Organic Dish has new owners who are introducing new meals and deserts, and improving some of the old-time favorites. I had Gnocchi Jalapeno Pesto with Chicken. The pesto was fresh and full of flavor. Jen's Organic Chocolate is a good choice for people that like vegan deserts. It's creamy and has a nice hint of citrus from lemon zest.

The Organic Dish has been a life saver for me. I'm too busy to cook for my family every night but I want good tasting organic local food that can be prepared with minimal effort. The Organic Dish hits the spot. We've tried many dishes and we've been happy with all of them. I've also given the meals as gifts and they've been a big hit. Our favorites are pork chops and peaches, beef stew, tofu with peanut sauce

My husband and I have tried two meals: Chicken with Blueberry Sauce, Quinoa and Green Beans, and Mediterranean Chicken Pasta. Both meals were clearly made of real, organic healthy food and tasted great. However for almost $25 each, the amount of prep was a bit much. Essentially you are paying for someone to shop, chop and measure and that is it. The first meal had raw chicken in a bag with some garlic and seasonings that needed to be baked, raw quinoa in a bag that needed to be prepared just as if you bought it at the store, frozen green beans again as though you bought them at the store, and a blueberry sauce that needed to be boiled in yet another pan. So, we had just as many dishes and not as many leftovers as though we made this meal from scratch ourselves. Ditto for the pasta: regular dry pasta that needed to be prepared, raw chicken that need to be grilled in a pan, and chopped veggies that also needed sauteeing. For the price I was expecting everything to be made and frozen and only in need of reheating. Either the prices should be lowered, or the food should be in a more final form.
