I have no right to rate a restaurant like The Original Pantry Cafe. All I can do is be awed by it. It is what Mocambo is to Calcutta, Keventers is to Darjeeling. I am thankful to have stumbled upon it. And thankful that I live in the city that houses it. I had the best table - the one right against the kitchen glass wall. Heaps of potato hash browning in the corner, huge steaks and thick slabs of pork chops sizzling away, pancakes turning to an even tone of burnt sienna, bacon getting crisp, rounds of frying fat ham, bubbling omelettes - it is a sight for the sore eyes. The toasts - oh the sourdough toasts! We had the roast beef with mashed potatoes and French beans as well as the ham and cheese omelette. The portions are beastly, neither of us could finish. We will keep coming back.

Pancakes & bacon. Sooo Yummy. We were in line for 20 minutes. It is definitely worth the wait. My daughter and I split one large breakfast since we are not big eaters. We still had left overs. Now I understand why there is a line every time we drove by.

Eat here people! It delicious. Im always a fan of old vs new and i will always choose a singular over a chain. In this case i was so much more satified than i thought and ive confirmed that old and sigular is way better that a new chain. I order the #6 breakfast with sourdough french toast. I didnt finish only because there was sooo much, but if i could have fit it into my stomach i would have. Highly recommended.

This is one of the oldest restaurant in the LA area, also considered as a landmark. I pass by it every time I go to staples center. I've eaten there a dozen of times, however, never during a weekend morning. Line goes out of the door, maybe a quarter of a mile. Food is good, they serve breakfast all day long. My favorite is Pantry burger on sourdough bread. I also tried other dishes, nothing spectacular, but feels good to eat at a historical LA landmark.

Man...The food here is good but I had better but it is so close to the office. I hate that comun seating
...I dont like having to over talk a bunch of strangers. I can"t believe Richard Reardon owns this place or did?

We like the food and coffee and OJ.
