"Dean and Frank would dig" this Rittenhouse Square carnivores' heaven, a step back in time with a retro dinner-club feel, where "impeccable" servers bring out an array of "fabulous" steaks "big enough for three meals" while live piano plays in the background; you may need a "corporate expense account" for the bill, but "you get what you pay for", plus there are "bargains" to be found at happy hour or on the prix fixe menu.

This is by far my favorite steakhouse in Philadelphia. The prime rib is the cut to get, it has so much flavor and is always tender. They have live jazz music and the ambiance is comfortable and swanky. Watch out for the special events! They also participate in restaurant week, so you can get a delicious steak dinner for $35!

Service and food were not nearly as good as expected for how much it costs

I stood for 2 minutes in front of a male and female employee at the host/hostess station before either one lifted their eyes. When they did make eye contact, they did not say, "Welcome to the Prime Rib" but rather, "Name?". We were offered drinks by our waiter but no wine list or drink menu. I had oyster, which were good. My wife had potato skins, which looked like someone left them on the grill and walked away for 30 minutes. My wife's crab cakes looked good but they were dry and there was no sauce. I had a filet that was overcooked (I asked for medium rare). The filet was prepared Oscar style but there was no hollandaise sauce. My wife told me to send it back but by that time I wanted to cut my losses and get out of there to have drinks someplace else. This place has always been over priced but now the quality and staff suck.

Chose to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary here and would choose to dine here for every anniversary in the furure. It was a little pricey, but we are NOT complaining ... you definitely get what you pay for and then some. I had the best prime rib of my life. It just melted in my mouth. Hubby had the bone-in rib eye that was so flavorful. We both ordered 2 sides ... big mistake. Each side was enough for 2 people. Thank goodness for doggy bags. We could have 2 more full meals from our leftovers. When I made our reservation THEY asked if it was a special occasion and I told them about our anniversary and Jeremy (the best server) treated us to a candle lit creme brule at the end of dinner. So sweet. Love, love, loved it. Can't wait til next year.

I expected more fromthe restaurant adjacent the Sofitel, honestly. A steak lover like myself is always on the hunt for the next best steak. I left a bit disapointed. Top notch scenery and excellent service.. but I honestly expected better. As it stands, the best Ribeye I've ever eaten is still from R2L.
