03/05/2016 4:30 pmThe GushER bone in Rib eye steak was excellent. Cooked to perfection on a charcoal grill. Nice char. Tender cut with good marbling. Great selection of beer. Waitress Taylor was a delight. Decor whimsical. Very impressed. I will entertain guests from out of town here. By far best steak house in Tulsa. |

02/19/2016 4:58 pmDecor was cool. Service was good. Prices were meh. Steak was awful. I've had a better steak at a number of places including Texas Roadhouse, Saltgrass, Lone Star, and even Applebee's. The cut Spudder offered was nearly void of any real flavor and filled with fat and gristle. The sides were equally dismal. Utterly absurd for the cost. Spudder is obviously *trying* yet failing to be a high-end steakhouse. Big waste of money. We will not be going back. |

12/06/2015 2:31 amI don't normally write reviews and even if I did, I don't think I would hardly ever give a 'one star' review, I feel they are normally people overreacting to small things and are therefor discredited. However, my experience at 'The Spudder' was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant, ever, so bad, I feel compelled to write this review and therefor justifies a one star rating. The evening started with the host making condescending comments to me because I didn't know if the rest of my party had arrived and been seated or not when I walked in the door. After being seated our waitress brought our drinks on a platter and after setting the third drink on the table, spilled the remaining drinks on my nephew. After ordering our meal my drink sat empty on the edge of the table and was never noticed. I had to flag our waitress down to order another and instead of scanning the table and asking anyone else low on beverage if they'd like another, promptly walked off and had to be asked for drinks from other party members. Now for the food; My salad was about a 3/5, my baked potato was about the same, and my steak? Well, that was atrocious. I had the 12 oz rib eye that I ordered rare but came out medium to medium-well. It was dry, gristly, and bland. At $32.99 it was beyond a disappointment. My Brother ordered the steak and quail. I don't know how you miss that on an order but the waitress put it in as just a steak. So, no quail when the entree was first brought out. She puts the quail order in and it comes out over cooked and bone dry. At this point I'm over the whole ordeal, I choked down my steak as I wasn't about to send it back and was ready to move on with the evening, elsewhere. When the waitress brought the bill the missed, overcooked quail was not compensated and I was charged for a drink that was ordered but was never poured. |
