This taco shop is my absolute favorite from San Ysidro to Los Angeles and beyond. It's not very well known which, I think, is do to it not having a drive thru, but that's fine by me because it's quiet and I always get my food quickly. The Mexican lady is very nice and knows how to cook. The food tastes like it was made by someone's mom. I assume she is but I don't know for sure. My point... park your car and give this little Jem a try. You will NOT be disappointed.

Great tasting food l, and salsa, fish taco and quesadilla was bomb!

The people who operate this restaurant are very friendly. The lady who cooks and cashiers speaks broken English, but she will get your order right. Not only that, the food here is quite lean compared to other Mexican restaurants like this.

My favorite is the Carne Asada Burrito Combo. At 5.89$ plus tax, it is the best deal in town for sure. Other Authentic Mex in the area are not as consistent with the flavor as Tio Alberto.
