One of the best meals of my life! Enchiladas are to die for. I will gladly make the two hour trip to the city just to eat here again.

Gross, everything in my body was telling me to run away I wish I had. As I was heading home a guy told me it smelt like "taco bell" which tells you about the quality if their food. I kept telling myself I paid for it I need to eat but it was just to disgusting to eat and I'm scared what it will do to my body the parts I did eat.

I consider myself to be a connoisseur of Mexican food (especially the Americanized version). I will oftentimes cook it myself two or three times in the span of one week, and will still have no problem dining out for Mexican. It is possible I chose a bad time of day, got the worst cook they have, or perhaps it was just an off day in general, or more likely the food used to be much better than it is today (or was yesterday when I went). I ordered a cheese enchilada, two hard shell beef tacos, and a side of queso (cheese) dip. None of it was the worst I ever had (except for the cheese dip), but they were a very close second. The taco shells were stale. The tacos themselves resembled your run-of-the-mill, "guero" tacos (too much cumin because you jerks use that stupid taco seasoning). The sauce for the enchiladas looked like it had been around a bit too long (too dark and thick and just not right). The queso looked like it had been reheated about 8 times. I took a small taste just to make sure it tasted as bad as it looked, and it did. I threw the remainder into the trash, and still wondered if I'd get food born illness from it. The price for my meal ($7.50) was very reasonable, except I absolutely hated every bite, and all I kept thinking was "I passed up perfectly good KFC for this crap?".

If you are craving great Mexican food, pass this place up and go to Los Tules at 1656 Broadway. (try the cheese dip there, it's absolutely the best in the world)
